Outgoing New York Mayor Eric Adams has a risqué idea for how people can keep warm in the wake of the heavy snowstorm that struck the city this week.
After a winter blitz shrouded the Big Apple beneath 4-plus inches of snow on Friday, Adams told New York City’s ABC7NY that citizens should try and make good use of their bedrooms.
Asked whether New Yorkers should hunker down or venture outside and take in the winter weather, he said, “Stay home. This is a good baby-making day, you know. Enjoy the stay home.”
“You know, as my son would say, ‘Just do Netflix and chill,’” Adams added after a quick shoutout to the some 2,700 sanitation workers clocking 12-hour shifts to keep the city clean and safe.
Laughing, anchor Pedro Rivera asked the mayor if that means New Yorkers should expect a “baby boom” come summer.
“That’s right, we want to improve the population,” Adams smiled.
