This franchise agreement signing highlights BRPL’s dedication and commitment to enhancing the hospitality experience to the destination.

The proposed Ramada by Wyndham hotel at Bhairahawa airport would consist of 100 keys. The hotel is under active development and expected to open within 2025 itself.

Bhairahawa is the administrative headquarter of the Rupandehi District in Lumbini Province, located 265 Km west of the capital city Kathmandu and borders the Indian city of Sonauli in Uttar Pradesh. The proposed property is located besides the Gautam Buddha International Airport and has the view of the runway. This second international airport, operational since 2022 serves flights to Dubai, Doha and Bangkok. It is the closest airport to Lumbini (just a mere half an hour drive), which is a pilgrimage site prominently known as the birthplace of the Gautam Buddha. Lumbini is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has many temples, historic pillars, monasteries, gardens as well.

Expressing his excitement, Narendra Kumar Gupta, Partner at Buddha Regency Private Limited, stated, “Our partnership with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the largest hotel franchising company in the world, to launch the ‘Ramada’ brand in Siddharthanagar (formerly known as Bhairahawa) brings us immense joy and pride.”

“We have signed our first hotel in Bhairahawa, a key gateway city adjacent to Nepal’s second international airport, under the Ramada by Wyndham brand. This signing expands our presence in Nepal to five hotels—two operational and three in the pipeline. Through our OwnerFirst approach, we work closely with franchisees to support the everyday traveler and make hotel stays more accessible. Ramada by Wyndham Bhairahawa Airport will be a strong addition to Wyndham’s portfolio in the region,” said Rahool Macarius, Market Managing Director Eurasia, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.

The hotel will create 100+ job opportunities, contributing to the local economy and reinforcing Wyndham Hotel & Resorts’ commitment to responsible and sustainable growth.
