Barron Trump faced some friction last year in an emergency call he made to London police about witnessing a friend’s assault live on video, according to a transcript of the call released Thursday by U.K. prosecutors.
The Snaresbrook Crown Court this week heard the call as part of a trial against 22-year-old Matvei Rumiantsev, who is accused of assaulting and raping his ex-girlfriend in London. Rumiantsev denies the allegations.
The woman, whose name and age is redacted for legal reasons, allegedly FaceTimed President Donald Trump’s 19-year-old son at the time of the assault on Jan. 18, 2025. Barron Trump subsequently called Metropolitan Police from the United States, the transcript of which the Crown Prosecution Service presented to jurors on Thursday.
In the call, the youngest Trump reportedly told police that a woman who called him was “getting beat up.”
“This was happening about eight minutes ago,” he reportedly told the operator. “I just figured out how to, how to call someone. Uh, uh, it’s really an emergency.”

The call appeared to grow tense as Trump reportedly pleaded for urgency as the emergency operator repeatedly asked how he knew the woman.
“I don’t think these details matter, she’s getting beat up,” he said in the transcript. “But OK fine, also I met her on social media. I don’t think that matters.”
The emergency operator then tells Trump to “stop being rude and actually answer my questions.”
The teenager says he does not know the name of the person beating up the woman, before apologizing “for being rude.”
The White House did not immediately respond to HuffPost’s request for comment on the call, nor on the nature of the youngest Trump’s relationship with the woman.
According to multiple outlets, the court also heard Thursday that Metropolitan Police later asked Trump if he would be willing to provide a witness statement regarding the allegations. In an email released by prosecutors, the teen responded that what he saw was “very brief indeed but indeed prevalent.”
“The phone was picked up. The individual who answered was a shirtless man with darkish hair,” he reportedly said in the May 2 email. “This view lasted maybe one second … then the view flipped to the victim.”
Trump reportedly admitted that he is “very close” to the woman, and that the man “was giving her difficulty for a long time.” Prosecutors told the court on Thursday that the 19-year-old did not respond to police’s July 1 follow-up email.
Rumiantsev told the court he got upset with the woman after accusing her of calling the youngest Trump “sweetheart.”
