A Donald Trump-supporting Colorado rancher ripped the president as “arrogant” and “kind of a jerk” and suggested he was going “overboard” during his first few weeks back in the White House.
But David Hayes then confessed — in an interview with CNN’s John King that aired Monday — that he’d still vote for Trump again over his 2024 Democratic rival Kamala Harris.
“I really don’t like him as a person,” Hayes admitted of Trump. “I think he’s arrogant, kind of a jerk.”
Hayes also slammed Elon Musk’s involvement in seeking to slash public spending as part of the non-official Department of Government Efficiency. He called out the billionaire’s debunked claim about Social Security checks and dead people. “Can you believe any of that crap? You can’t substantiate it. You can’t believe it. So that is a trust issue,” said Hayes.
“But if you had a do-over tomorrow and you had to pick again between Trump and Harris, what would you do?” King asked.
“I would still do Trump,” Hayes told King.
It’s the latest in a line of videos of Trump voters slamming the president, only to then admit that he still has their support.
