President Donald Trump took his hypocrisy to another level after dragging former President Joe Biden just days after he was spotted seemingly nodding off himself mid-meeting at the White House.
On Monday, Trump jabbed his political opponent in a Truth Social post announcing the launch of his new White House app, which officials have said will give Americans “unparalleled access” to the administration. However, this announcement has already sparked security and privacy concerns.
“Every American should expect their government to have transparency and the Trump administration is the most transparent in history,” Trump said in the clip. “That is for sure. No one knew that ‘sleepy’ Joe Biden was doing. We had no idea what that guy was doing. The good news is he had no idea either.”
Just moments before the president revealed that the new app will allow Americans to “watch all White House events, read all my executive orders, and keep track of all of our ‘promises made, promises kept.’”
Trump continued, “That was a phrase that I used during the campaign and it’s very true. In fact, I actually kept more promises than I even talked about. We did much more than I said we were going to do.”
While Trump has repeatedly alleged that Biden is low-energy and unfit to lead the country, Trump has repeatedly appeared to doze off amid his second term during high-profile events, including the October 2025 Antifa roundtable at the White House. The incidents have fueled concerns over Trump’s stamina for office.
Most recently, Trump appeared to fight off sleep during a March 26 cabinet meeting.
Trump, 79, is the oldest person to be elected president in U.S. history and has repeatedly denied reports of him drifting off in meetings, despite numerous photos and videos of him closing his eyes on multiple occasions.
Speaking with The Wall Street Journal in January, Trump argued that the images and videos of him sleeping were merely ill-timed.
“Sometimes they’ll take a picture of me blinking,” he said. “And they’ll catch me with the blink.”
