Nestled atop a serene hillside overlooking the sparkling Aegean Sea, Kalesma has emerged as the hotel of choice for luxury travelers seeking exclusivity and luxury on the vibrant island of Mykonos. For discerning wanderlusts in pursuit of seclusion without compromising on opulence, this impeccably-designed boutique hotel effortlessly merges traditional Greek hospitality with contemporary elegance. Both an embrace of Mykonos culture and a departure from it, Kalesma is a perfect option for travelers looking to experience a bit of everything that the island has to offer.

While a number of global hospitality brands have recently established a presence in Mykonos, the heart of Kalesma’s allure lies in its deep roots to Mykonian culture. The hoteliers behind the project – including one whose family has owned the land Kalesma is built on for over a century – wanted to re-imagine the idea of Greek luxury. To execute this, they called upon K-Studios and Studio Bonarchi. Together the dream team created a unique brand of avant garde Greek design that eschews ornament in favor of clean lines and natural materials, including wood, ceramics, and regionally sourced stone. The result is a modern take on the classic white-and-blue Cycladic aesthetic often associated with Mykonos style.

Kalesma’s architecture sets the stage for the distinctive interiors of it’s luxury suites and villas. Each space is unique, and a masterpiece of minimalism and comfort. Adorned with Cycladic charm and enhanced by private outdoor areas and larger than average private pools, Kalesma’s suites and villas offer complete seclusion and multiple opportunities for relaxation. Whether opting for sweeping sea views or a secluded garden sanctuary, every detail of each private space has been meticulously curated to evoke a sense of romance, modernity, and understated luxury.

Luxury travelers know that Mykonos is one of Europe’s premier foodie destinations. Pere Ubu, the on-site restaurant at Kalesma, leads that charge with an innovative menu that invites guests and visiting diners to explore a contemporary take on traditional Greek and Mediterranean-inspired dishes. Anchored by a farm-to-table culinary program, Chef Costa Tsingas has created a menu that showcases the freshest local ingredients which are used to prepare beloved classics and delightful re-interpretations of Mykonian favorites. Whether savoring a perfectly grilled catch of the day or indulging in the wide array of Greek meze offerings, every dish at Pere Ubu is a testament to both tradition and culinary exploration. Wine lovers will delight in Pere Ubu’s extensive wine list that includes carefully selected varietals from international winemakers, as well as an impressive selection of wines from Greece’s finest vineyards.

At the brand new Kalesma Spa, guests are beckoned into a realm of relaxation and rejuvenation. The spa is a celebration of Cycladic wellness traditions, where ancient health and beauty rituals harmonize with modern therapies, ensuring a bespoke experience tailored to each visitor’s needs. From invigorating massages to holistic treatments, every session is designed to restore both body and spirit, creating a sanctuary of healing within this idyllic retreat. The spa also offers an array of skincare products, including treatments from cult favorite, Dr. Barbara Sturm. Guests can also participate in daily restorative treatments in the two fully equipped private treatment rooms which offer heat and water experiences like hammam, sauna, and cold plunge. A state-of-the-art fitness & movement area with Technogym equipment ensures that individual fitness regimens can remain intact throughout your stay.

Owner and visionary, Aby Saltiel has said that he wanted Kalesma to feel like a sanctuary, a tranquil oasis to come home to. Strategically positioned above Ornos Bay, Kalesma affords guests the luxury of privacy without sacrificing proximity to Mykonos Town’s vibrant energy. A short drive brings you to the island’s iconic beaches and pulsating nightlife, while the hotel’s elevated hillside location ensures a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. In a realm where luxury meets tranquility, Kalesma emerges as Mykonos’ quintessential sanctuary for the discerning traveler. From its captivating architecture and secluded suites, to its elevated gastronomic experiences, every facet of Kalesma is a testament to unparalleled sophistication and extraordinary attention to detail. For those seeking an escape where privacy and luxury are prioritized, Kalesma not only promises but delivers on creating a truly unforgettable experience.
