When the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort and Spa opened in 1989, it was one of the largest hotels in the Coachella Valley. Located on 45 acres of palm trees, lakes, golf courses, and a tranquil spa, there are 530 guest rooms, suites, and villas. These villas are very popular with families and groups, as each one has its own separate outdoor entrance and spacious residential living space.

Each Spring the BNP Paribas Open is an epicenter for tennis fans. Starting on March 6 – March 17, 2024, visitors from around the world come to Indian Wells to watch the ATP and WTA Tour players compete to capture the prestigious BNP Paribas Open title. Past title winners include Carlos Alcaraz, Elena Rybakina, Taylor Fritz, and Iga Swiatek.

Located just 30 minutes from Palm Springs, the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa is within walking distance to the BNP Paribas Open, and just a quick shuttle ride to the tennis complex gate.

In between watching tennis matches, guests can return to the resort to cool down at one of the sparkling swimming pools and the new waterpark.

There is also an on-property tennis facility for guests to practice their strokes and serves, plus two adjacent world-class golf courses to finesse one’s swing.

The BNP Paribas Open is more than just tennis matches. Tennis Paradise provides a variety of exciting amenities throughout the complex. There is daily live entertainment, top retail stores, champagne and Dobel Tequila party pavilions, and multiple dining options available at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Nobu at Stadium 2 is a fan favorite to enjoy sushi, nigiri and other Japanese delicacies while watching a tennis match.

Families, groups and couples appreicate the size of the villas at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa. Starting at 1,100 square feet, the one-bedroom villa has a separate bedroom with a king-size bed and large bathroom. There is also a living area and fireplace, a dining area with a wet bar and a private patio with outdoor furnishings. Some have a private pool or hot tub.

There are also two-bedroom villas and a spacious 1,800-square-foot Presidential Villa. Each villa offers picturesque mountain, lake and golf course views.

Last fall, the resort started renovations to the lobby, bar, restaurants and part of the pool area. These renovations will feature soothing desert chic neutral colors to blend the indoors with the outdoors. Carved wood and metal finishes will add an air of sophistication to the design.

This transformation is scheduled to be completed in time for Spring Break and the BNP Paribas Open.

The villas are near the newer 450 foot long lazy river, splash pad and three-story high, 30 foot-tall dueling water slides water park.

At the pool deck, guests can check out one of the complimentary bicycles to take for a spin around the resort grounds.

Those ready for a Spring glow-up will attain one at the Agua Serena Spa. The Hyatt Regency Indian Wells recently debuted their partnership with Kalologie. This leading aesthetic and wellness brand operates in several other five-star properties in California and Las Vegas, in addition to stand-alone clinics. This new medspa is adjacent to the expansive indoor and outdoor Agua Serena Spa, offering four private treatment rooms, and an IV lounge for IV therapy and B12 energy boosts.

Some of the renewing glow-up treatments include body contouring and dermal fillers, plus microneedling to enhance collagen production and reduce scarring and wrinkles.

The Spa also features Coachella Valley’s only Floatpod Therapy treatment. Guests at the Spa have privileges to the private men’s and women’s locker room facilities. There is a picturesque outdoor reflection pool, a dry sauna, indoor and outdoor showers, plus an outdoor hot tub and cold plunge pool.

Wine lovers can enjoy the spa’s “Relax and Un-Wine” service which includes a flight of locally sourced varietals and an organic exfoliating scrub made from Napa grapes.
