Popular activewear label Lululemon is launching a collection of performance and lifestyle hijabs in stores and online today.
Lululemon has followed the lead of Nike, Adidas and Under Armour by releasing a collection of three hijabs fit for a home workout, running, tennis and everything in between.
The brand worked with hijab wearers across its global collective to create styles that look stylish and stay put during exercise, while also providing ventilation using breathable, sweat-wicking fabrics.
In selected stores and online today, you can pick up a Performace Hijab ($55) which has been designed for serious workouts and has a pinless, over-the-head design; and there’s also the Scarf Hijab ($49) which is made from a soft performance fabric and can be tied, twisted and tucked in any way you see fit.
Later in the year, we can expect to see the Pull On Hijab ($49) as well, which is essentially a combination of the other two styles, and has a pull-on design that can be styled to wrap around your shoulders or tucked into your shirt.
With this launch, Lululemon is making the search for culturally appropriate activewear that little bit easier for Muslim women.
