Labor Day is more than a celebration of American workers or the unofficial mark of the end of summer; it’s also a time when retailers put a lot of stuff on sale. If you’re moving, need supplies for the new school year, are looking to upgrade your tech, or are hoping for a good deal on tools or household items, it’s a good time to start poking around.
The early deals are already hitting, and more will continue to pop up until Sept. 8, the day after the holiday, when most of the action will end. With this live blog, you can keep up with the best Labor Day deals as the Lifehacker team finds them, throughout this long sale, and all in one place. As always, we use price-tracking tools to suss out the deals that are actually worth paying attention to, not just hype designed to instill a false sense of urgency.
