On Wednesday’s episode of Fox News’ “The Five,” Watters decided to let his sexism take the wheel after the show played back-to-back clips of Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D).

The clip of Newsom showed him openly crying during a press conference last week while speaking about young people getting involved in their communities.
In the clip that featured Pelosi, the former House speaker was talking to MS NOW about the possibility of a woman becoming president. Although it was not featured in the clip that aired on “The Five,” Pelosi joked to the outlet she may not see a female president in her lifetime “because I’m old.”
“Well, Nancy says there will not be a female president in her lifetime, and I say thank God,” Watters said after the clips aired. “I hope there is not a female president in my lifetime.”
When one of Watters’ female co-hosts, Jessica Tarlov, asked Watters why he’d say something like that, he began to list off a string of misogynistic reasons, like the belief that women have a lack “emotional maturity” and “professional contacts in the business world to manage the economy.”
“Do women have the respect of the generals?” Watters asked, before slyly laughing at himself, like he knew he sounded like a complete jerk. “People are saying women don’t have the sense of humor to be president.”
He added with a smile, “None of those things I believe.”
Amid Watters’ rant, however, his co-host, comedian Greg Gutfeld, appeared a tad uncomfortable by the words coming out of Watters’ mouth — but also called out his colleague for trolling for outrage.

“You are just jumping off a cliff,” Gutfeld said. “Just because you are bored.”
After taking a few jabs at women, Watters decided to move on to Newsom.
“I believe Gavin Newsom could be the first woman president,” Watters said. “Because when I hear him talk, he sounds like a woman. The kind of emotional instability, you don’t know whether he’s having a mid-life crisis, an identity crisis, a crisis of confidence.”
He, unfortunately, continued, “I’ve read the book, and it’s great, and he has so much potential with his athleticism, his hair, he’s a genuinely nice guy. But the only reason he is running for president is to prove his worth to his father and to get back at all the bullies who beat the crap out of him in middle school. Now I’m saying don’t run for president, run to see a psychiatrist instead.”
This is not the first time — this week — Watters has compared Newsom to a woman.
“Gavin is, how do I say this, he’s kind of like a woman trapped in a man’s body,” Watters said on Monday’s episode of “The Five.” “You could probably convince the base that Gavin is a woman. He changes his mind a lot, he’s always in the mirror, he’s always crying, he’s crossing his legs constantly. I think they could buy that.”
