Romijn later said that it’s “one of the first conversations you have when you decide to enter into a legal agreement together.”
The two do share one bank account together, which they each contribute to quarterly.
They refer to the account as a “community pot” for family expenses for their children, 16-year-old twins Dolly Rebecca Rose and Charlie Tamara Tulip.
“I have to say, we actually throttle how much money we put into that account sometimes,” O’Connell said of their setup, while Romijn said it was dependent “on who’s working more.”
“The one who’s not working gets a little bit of a break, and the one who is working puts in a little more,” Romijn said. “And we really tag-team with work.”

The two aren’t the only celebrity couple who have yet to integrate their finances, as Salma Hayek her billionaire businessman husband, François‑Henri Pinault, do the same.
“I support a lot of the aspects of my life and myself,” Hayek said in an interview with the WSJ. Magazine in 2024, in which she disclosed she and Pinault have no prenuptial agreement, and just keep finances separate.
“I have the pressure to make a certain amount of money, and I like it. And now, I decided, I want to make more,” she said.
