The lighthearted remark came after a Daily News report from gossip veteran Richard Johnson that claimed Schlossberg’s pals were looking to set him up on a date with the Democratic New York congresswoman ― or perhaps for a job.
Schlossberg, the grandson of President John F. Kennedy and son of Caroline Kennedy, has been smarting since he got shellacked in a New York Democratic congressional primary, according to the article.
He told People in June that he wanted to “fall in love.”
“I want to find my soulmate,” he added.
The 33-year-old Schlossberg, however, would be an intriguing candidate if the lawmaker, who recently announced she is freezing her eggs, is looking for love as well, insiders said in the Post article.
An unnamed source told the tabloid, “Those two would actually get along great together. They believe government is a force of good. They’d at least be good friends.”
HuffPost has reached out to Ocasio-Cortez’s office for comment on the possible love connection.
Perhaps she can pass a note to us during recess.
