CHICAGO – Hyatt Hotels Corporation announced the reopening of Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort following an extensive renovation of the adults-only, all-inclusive property.
The 424-room, AAA Four Diamond resort is located within the private, gated community of Playa Mujeres, north of Cancun, approximately 35 minutes from Cancun International Airport. The property is set alongside a Greg Norman-designed golf course and offers white-sand beaches and ocean views.
Guests at Secrets Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort also have complimentary access to the neighbouring Dreams Playa Mujeres Golf & Spa Resort, providing additional dining and experience options.

All guest rooms have been redesigned with a contemporary coastal aesthetic, featuring natural textures, soft fabrics, organic shapes and fluid layouts intended to reflect the surrounding seascape.

The renovation also introduced a newly constructed two-storey Preferred Club building, including a dedicated check-in lounge on the first floor and an exclusive ocean-view restaurant on the second floor. A newly built private beach club has also been added, offering a dedicated seaside space for guests.
Public areas within the resort have been reconfigured to improve guest flow and arrival experience. Updates include the relocation of the Rendezvous lobby bar to the former main lobby and the repositioning of the check-in area closer to guest accommodations. Meeting spaces have also been enhanced to support group gatherings.

Additional upgrades are planned for the Secrets Spa, with enhancements expected to debut in mid-February, expanding wellness and relaxation offerings.
Dining and nightlife venues have also been refreshed. Desires Night Club and Coco Café now feature updated atmospheres, while Portofino continues to offer Italian cuisine. The Bordeaux restaurant is scheduled to relaunch in mid-February with an Amazonian-inspired concept.
