DVC Members Save 20% Off + $250 Credit on New Disney Cruise Line Sailings in Fall 2027 to Spring 2028

It’s been a big week for Disney Cruise Line! In addition to the new Fall 2027 to Spring 2028 itineraries and extended special offer with savings of up to $1,500 off select sailings ending soon, there’s a brand-new (or rather, upcoming) discount of 20% off for Disney Vacation Club members on the newly-announced voyages.

These are not the only special offers available from Disney Cruise Line right now. There are also ongoing deals on select ‘Categories with Restrictions’ sailings, currently up to 25% off on select voyages. With this, guests select a Verandah, Oceanview or Inside stateroom under the ‘Guaranteed Stateroom with Restrictions’ category. Disney Cruise Line then assigns you a stateroom closer to your embarkation date.

There are also last-minute 30% off discounts on sailings out of Florida to in-state residents and 30% off sailings out of San Diego to Southern California residents. There are likewise special military rates and an onboard credit in honor of “Disney Celebrates America.”

Canada residents can also save up to 25% on select sailings, and there are ongoing discounts on select European sailings, although most of those have ended. None of these special offers are anything new; they’re the type of discounts that Disney Cruise Line normally offers throughout the year to fill unsold staterooms closer to sailings.

Finally, there’s a new-ish special offer for 20% off Singapore sailings; our guess is that won’t be the last or best deal on the Adventure, although those discounts probably won’t be targeted at Americans. There have been a few other general public sailings for this year and 2027 that have already ended. This is the latest in a line that we expect to continue in the months to come.

Against that backdrop, here are details of the new DVC member deal for select Fall 2027 to Spring 2028 sailings…

    DVC Members: Save 20% + Get a $250 Credit on 2027-2028 Sailings

Exclusively for eligible DVC Members, enjoy a 20% discount on your voyage fare on select sailings aboard the Disney Wonder, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy on new Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 itineraries from Disney Cruise Line.

Plus, as a special treat, Members who book by October 31, 2026, will receive a $250 onboard credit to use aboard their sailing*.

Early booking for this latest itinerary release begins for eligible Members on September 3, 2026. Call Member Services at (800) 800-9800 to book!

*Eligible Members must book by October 31, 2026, to receive a $250 onboard credit. At least one passenger must be booked using Reservation Points. If Members would like to pay for other passengers by using both cash and Reservation Points, individual passengers must be paid for by using all cash or all Reservation Points. Subject to availability.

Now for a couple of housekeeping notes about this special offer, including why it may not be so special after all…

    Demo

First, unless I’ve missed it, Disney Vacation Club has not yet released a list of which ‘select sailings’ are eligible for this special offer. If you visit the special offer page on DVCMember.com, there’s a blue button that gives you the option to “View All Point Charts.” But it hasn’t been updated with the Fall 2027 to Spring 2028 sailings yet.

Second, this special offer is only valid on the Disney Wonder, Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. The Disney Wonder will have three- to seven-night Baja and Mexican Riviera sailings throughout the Fall 2027 and Spring 2028 seasons in San Diego, including stops at Ensenada and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, and Catalina Island, California.

The Disney Dream will also sail from Port Canaveral on three- and four-night sailings to The Bahamas before repositioning to Fort Lauderdale in November 2027 for three- to five-night Bahamian sailings, and one six-night sailing that will make two stops at Castaway Cay.

The Disney Fantasy will set sail from Port Canaveral from September through November 2027 on four- and five-night sailings to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean before repositioning to San Juan, Puerto Rico, for two sailings, and Fort Lauderdale for sailings to the Bahamas, Eastern Caribbean, and Bermuda for the first time with an eight-night cruise visiting both Disney Bahamian island destinations, before returning to San Juan in late April through May 2028.

Second, is the asterisk above, the exact verbiage of which I have retained as it’s presented by Disney Vacation Club. There are two ways to construe this. One is the technical way, as written, which is that at least one passenger must be booked using points in order to receive the $250 onboard credit. This should be the requirement.

The other is that receiving the discount, period, requires booking with points. This is not what a plain reading of the fine print suggests, especially since the asterisk is not attached to the 20% off. Nevertheless, this is standard policy for DVC deals on DCL itineraries, so it’s possible–if not probable–that’s true here, too. In which case, the marketing copy is just written sloppily.

If such a requirement to use points for the booking in order to receive 20% off exists, it effectively kills the deal. Using DVC points on Disney Cruise Line, or Adventures by Disney, or literally anything that isn’t Disney Vacation Club, is a terrible use of points. Do not do it. Not even with a 20% off “discount.”

Instead of using the points for Disney Cruise Line at the poor exchange rate, rent them out and put the money you make renting the points to your Disney Cruise Line trip. It’s a bit of extra work, but you will definitely come out ahead this way, unless you way under-price your points. You can rent points out yourself via social media, forums, etc.

If you’re a worrier or just don’t want to deal with the hassle yourself, using a third party marketplace may be the better option. There are a few of these, with David’s Vacation Club Rentals being the top option that we recommend. It’s accredited by the Better Business Bureau, has a full-time team assisting with the transactions, and enjoys an excellent reputation. The downside is that they typically pay less, the upside is safety and peace of mind.

Doing the extra work isn’t just for the sake of saving a few bucks. The savings can be multiple thousands of dollars, depending upon the cruise and number of people going. See our Guide to Disney Vacation Club Point Rental for more recommendations. (Oh, and don’t worry about the recent restrictions on commercial use. That absolutely does not apply to a one-off like this.)

Save Up to $1,500 on Select Sailings

Book by August 30, 2026, and you can save up to $500 USD per Guest on select sailings from October 1 to March 26, 2027 (previously through December 31, 2026), for parties of up to 5 in the same stateroom. For example, 3 guests sharing the same stateroom on select 7-night sailings would save $1,500 USD.

Set sail for Halloween thrills and holiday wonder on the Disney Treasure & Disney Fantasy sailing from Florida or the Disney Wonder sailing from San Diego.

See how the savings add up, with a maximum of 5 Guests per stateroom (subject to stateroom availability):

    Select 7-Night Sailings

    • Verandah Stateroom: Save $500 USD per person
    • Oceanview Stateroom: Save $400 USD per person
    • Inside Stateroom: Save $300 USD per person

Select Sailings for 6 Nights or Less

As always, we highly recommend working with Be Our Guest Vacations, an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. Be Our Guest Vacations is our preferred travel agency, and they have many agents with extensive cruise experience and expertise.

Using a travel agency is advantageous when it comes to cruising–most will provide on-board credits based upon the size of the booking, along with itinerary advice and suggestions for the cruise. They’ll also deal with Disney on your behalf and, speaking from experience, this can be invaluable when something goes wrong. Especially if, like me, you hate talking on the telephone.

This is doubly true when you’re booking the longer and arguably more complicated itineraries. It’s less necessary for the shorter sailings, but useful for first-timers or for anyone who would prefer a representative (and in some cases, advocate) to deal with Disney on their behalf.

    DCL September Sale?!

Last year brought a 40% Off Sale on Halloween & Christmas Sailings. That flash sale lasted one week and it was right before the start of the new fiscal year in October.

Our expectation is more special offers, not fewer, as that has been the clear trajectory of DCL over the last year-plus. We wouldn’t be surprised if that 40% off discount makes a comeback in September 2026, or if a different but equally aggressive offer is released before the new fiscal year. Walt Disney World also had a lot of discounts around that same timeframe.

One thing to which we would draw your attention with the expanded and extended $1,500 off special offer is that the book by date did not change. It was previously August 30, 2026 almost two months ago when first released, and remains August 30, 2026 even with three additional months of eligible sail dates being added. That’s only a few days away!

That is probably purposeful, with the explanation being that DCL has another discount on deck for September. Of course, that’s purely speculative on our part, so if this discount works well for your party, don’t miss it in the hopes of something better. Obviously there are no guarantees, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re on the fence.

Ultimately, lower prices and bigger discounts are better for consumers. The exhaustion of pent-up demand and Disney Cruise Line bring new capacity online via fleet expansion is fantastic for fans.

DCL pricing has skyrocketed in recent years, to the point that rational consumers doing a cost-benefit analysis of Disney versus other cruise lines might have a tough time justifying the latter. It’s nice for the objective comparison to pencil out a little more favorably and for fans to have less expensive ways to set sail with Disney Cruise Line!

    Your Thoughts

Thoughts on these special offers of 20% off for DVC Members on the new Fall 2027 to Spring 2028 sailings, or the save up to $1,500 off select DCL itineraries between October and March 26, 2027? Think that the DVC deal will require using points to receive the 20% off, or just the $250 onboard credit? Will you be taking advantage of these or other discounts? Waiting to see what’s released in September? Agree or disagree with our assessment? Hearing from you is fun and helpful, so if you have questions or thoughts, please share them below and we’ll try to respond!
