CNN chief data analyst Harry Enten on Thursday highlighted what he called the “stunning” collapse in support for Donald Trump among voters under 30.
The demographic was key to the president’s 2024 election victory, Enten noted on “OutFront” with anchor Erin Burnett. But new polling shows the president’s net approval with young voters has plunged from +10 in February to –46 now.
“Look, I think the word of the day, to borrow a phrase from the current president: YUGE, YUGE,” said Enten.
“Look at this drop!” he continued. “I’m laughing because it’s down to minus 46 points in the net approval. That is a drop of 56 points among voters under the age of 30.”
“This type of drop happening so quickly is just…,” Enten said, before adding: “You know I spend my days in the spreadsheets. You just don’t see drops like that. It’s stunning.”
