Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-Texas) offered up a sarcastic new take on the power that President Donald Trump’s red “Make America Great Again” hats have on his fans who wear them.
Crockett shared a clip of Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, the president of Portugal, saying Trump “objectively” behaves like a Russian asset.
“He functions as an asset,” de Sousa said. “I am saying that, objectively speaking, the new American leadership has strategically favored the Russian Federation.”
Crockett said that’s obvious to nearly everyone ― except one set of people with a very specific choice in headgear, as “those red hats shield their brains from taking in facts & data.”
A day earlier, Crockett had another message for the Trump supporters who troll her on social media, calling them “mentally ill” and “grade A losers.”
“I’ve got a long list of people I WILL NEVER FOLLOW because I truly don’t want to see anything they have to say … starting with anyone who considers themselves to be MAGA!” she wrote. “You have to ask yourself … God, what is wrong with me? And then pray he delivers you from your illness … let us all say together, AMEN!”
