Before you get smart cameras or other smart tech, most people start with a smart doorbell. The good news is, they’re better than ever, with exceptional coverage of the area in front of your door, night vision, high quality video, and AI features. Smart doorbells make giving people access (or denying access) to your house easier. Need to let a neighbor in to feed the dog? You can set that up from your phone and then revoke it when you don’t need their help anymore. Plus, you can see who is at your door (and decide if you want to actually answer it), know when packages are delivered, and interact with those at the door when you’re not home using two-way video.

During Amazon’s ongoing October Prime Day, these smart doorbells are discounted as much as 60% off. (I have not tested all of these models.)

    Blink video doorbell

One of the easiest doorbells to install, this one offers night vision and can be either wire free or direct wired.

Blink Video Doorbell ($29.99, was $59.99)

    Ring video doorbell

The most established company in this space, Ring doorbells offer inclusion to the Ring community network via the app.

Ring Video Doorbell ($59.99, was $99.99)

    Kasa smart video doorbell

Kasa Smart Video Doorbell ($37.99, was $59.99)

    Eufy security battery video doorbell

This will last up to 120 days on one battery charge. Also, this doorbell comes with its own chime.

Eufy Security Battery Video Doorbell ($59.99, was $99.99)

    Arlo wireless video doorbell

Night vision and a 180-degree field of view gives you the tools to view everything at your front door.

    • 2k resolution

    • Rechargeable battery

    • Requires subscription

Arlo Wireless Video Doorbell ($79.99, was $129.99)

    Tapo TP-Link smart video doorbell

With color night vision and an ultra wide view, TP-Link has established a good name for itself in the security camera space.

Tapo TP-Link Smart Video Doorbell ($79.99, was $119.99)

    REOLINK Video Doorbell PoE Camera

With a full 180-degree field of vision, this doorbell also includes a customizable chime.

REOLINK Video Doorbell PoE Camera, ($79.99, was $99.99)

    eufy Security Video Doorbell E340

This doorbell has two cameras, similarly to the eufy Solocams I really like, allowing you to get both micro- and macro-level detail.

eufy Security Video Doorbell E340, ($119.99, was $179.99)
