The new GPU platform Blackwell is designed to enable organizations to deploy real-time generative AI with trillion-parameter models at a cost and energy consumption up to 25 times less than earlier models. Key features include a 208B transistor AI Superchip, a 2nd Gen Transformer Engine with FP4/FP6 Tensor Cores, a 5th Generation NVLink that scales to 576 GPUs, RAS Engine with 100% In-System Self-Test, Secure AI with Full Performance Encryption, and a Decompression Engine that can process 800GB/sec. NVIDIA introduced the NIM, a cloud-native microservice that offers prebuilt containers and Helm charts for quick setup and deployment.
