Halfway Through the Year. This Is the Pivot Point · Primer

    A quick sit-rep.

Back in January, I shared a free Year End Review workbook.

It was designed to guide you through questions that help clarify what really matters. It covered areas like work/life, physical and mental health, relationships, and intentional living.

The response surprised me. More people downloaded it than I expected, and the personal notes that followed were even more meaningful.

We’re halfway through the year. Now is the perfect time to revisit your answers.

This is your call for a sit-rep. A situation report: a no pressure, no judgement moment to look honestly at your life and compare it with what you said you wanted when the year began. It’s not full-on mid-year review exercise, it’s a status check to be motivated by good movement and a nudge to reorient where needed.

Start by rereading your answers if you did the workbook. If you didn’t you can start now.

Focus on the themes you wrote down. The goals you listed. The values you wanted to prioritize.

When I did this recently, I noticed something unexpected.

In the day to day, I often focus on what feels frustrating or slow or not working. But going back through my notes gave me a different view.

My physical health has improved through small, steady habits I took on after the new year. The progress was made notable because I no longer relate to the language I used in my review for that area.

My relationships have improved by focusing on a consistent mindfulness practice and have invested in them with a couple meaningful trips to see family and reconnect with friends.

These changes were quiet, but real. And they were easy to miss without stepping back.

Look at the areas that felt most important in January. Are you moving in those directions? What progress has taken root? What can you learn from what did not work?

Use these thought starters as you go:

    • Where have I made even subtle movement in the right direction?
    • Which priorities from earlier in the year are still receiving my time and energy?
    • Which areas of life from the workbook could benefit from fresh attention right now?
    • What goals need to be reworked to make forward movement possible?

That is what this mid-year re-read is for.

To notice progress you may have overlooked. To recognize what still matters and what no longer does.

If you never used the workbook, no need to wait for year end, you can start now.  Click here to get the template.

You have six months of real data behind you. And you still have six months to work with.

It is a way to take stock of where you are and decide what comes next.

You are not behind or too late.

    You are starting from here.
