President Donald Trump on Monday took to his Truth Social platform to commemorate Labor Day, a public holiday meant to honor American workers, by vowing that Republicans won’t let Democrats win the upcoming midterm elections.
“Happy Labor Day to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, and Dumocrats who will do anything possible to destroy our Country,” the president wrote.
Trump said Democrats should have been tired of fighting him by now, over 10 years after he was first elected president, declaring that the GOP will have a strong showing in the November elections.
“They’re going to give it one last shot at ruining America, but we’re not going to let that happen. We’re going to win the Midterms, BIG, and SAVE AMERICA!” the president wrote.

Despite his rosy projections about Republicans, polls show that his party will face an uphill battle in the upcoming elections, as Trump’s own approval ratings have been low, in part due to his unpopular war in Iran, which has led to increased prices for U.S. households.
This is not the first time the president has used a U.S. public holiday to air his personal grievances.
For the Fourth of July, he gave a speech on the National Mall, which included warnings on communism and jokes about him serving an unconstitutional third term in office.
On Memorial Day, he once again called out Democrats on Truth Social, falsely claiming “disrespect our Military and all of the tremendous success that it has had over the last year,” in an apparent reference to Democratic criticism of the Iran conflict.
His Labor Day-related post comes amid a social media spree from the president who, among other things, suggested New Mexico should be renamed New America, sharing multiple photos of apparently AI-generated maps displaying the name change.
