Fox News Host And Ex-DNC Chair Battle To Sudden End

Fox News host Will Cain essentially threw ex-Democratic National Committee Chair Jaime Harrison off his show Tuesday during an interview that seemed bound to erupt.

“I’m gonna have to cut you off,” Cain snapped. “We’re talking at the same time. It does nobody a service. Not you, not me, or not the audience.”

The tension began as a slow burn while Cain attempted to provoke Harrison on the budding influence of democratic socialists ― which Harrison dismissed as “media hype.”

Cain pivoted to progressive Abdul El-Sayed’s much-buzzed-about interview with Jesse Watters the night before. Michigan’s Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate tried to derail Watters’ anti-trans argument by asking him, “Are you circumcised?”

Harrison referenced President Donald Trump’s dinner with white supremacist Nick Fuentes in 2022, suggesting that Fuentes did not represent every Republican just as El-Sayed (who does not identify as a democratic socialist) does not represent all Democrats.

Cain said the analogy was inflammatory ― and the interview blew up in interruptions and accusations.

“What is inflammatory is this — you invite somebody to come on your show to talk about the South Carolina Republican primary, and you don’t even talk about the South Carolina Republican primary!” Harrison said, calling Fox News “disingenuous.”

“Don’t invite me to come talk on your show about the South Carolina Republican primary, and you spend all the time talking about the DSA,” he continued, referring to the Democratic Socialists of America.

“Jaime. Jaime. Listen to me for a second,” Cain fired back as Harrison continued to talk. “All right, I’m gonna have to cut you off, Jaime. … If my staff told you — Jaime! You can’t hear me while you’re talking. If my staff told you we were talking about the Senate Republican primary, then I apologize. I was under no pretense that I would be talking to you today about a Republican primary. I don’t know why I would book a former Democratic —.

As Harrison’s cross-talk went on, Cain said: “All right, I’m gonna have to cut you off. We’re talking at the same time. It does nobody a service. Not you, not me, or not the audience. I would never be interested in hearing from a former DNC chair — thank you, Jaime Harrison. I appreciate the time. I would hope for this to go better in the future.”

With Harrison dispatched, Cain told his conservative viewers that he “would never book the former head of the DNC to talk about a Republican primary.”
