Walt Disney World has released the full list of entrees, snacks, drinks & desserts for 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, from November 7 through December 21, and regular days during the holiday season at Magic Kingdom. This MVMCP food guide takes a sneak peek at the special items available for purchase during this hard ticket event plus free cookies & refreshments!
For the 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party (MVMCP), Walt Disney World’s culinary teams have cooked up yuletide yummies (as the kids say). This year, there are nearly 40 new bites available during the holiday hard ticket event at Magic Kingdom. You’ll be joyous to unwrap new bites like the Santa Hat Brownie Sundae or the Holiday Pot Roast Mini Corn Dogs, as well as returning favorites like the Festive Beignets and the “Christmas-style” Chicken Tamale.
During MVMCP, the highlight for many guests is stopping for the free* cookies, hot cocoa, and other holiday refreshments. There are stations to get these all over the park, and different cookies are served at each of them. (*Included with the cost of $170+ party tickets and undoubtedly built into that price!)
In addition to that, several restaurants and snack spots will be open and offering even more Christmas-themed items that are available for purchase. If our experiences in the past–and the stock photos and descriptions that Walt Disney World has shared–are any indication, some of these are worth seeking out, whereas others are a waste of time and money unless you buy food for Instagram photos.
Walt Disney World has not yet shared the lineup and where each complimentary cookie and beverage can be found during the 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Here’s last year’s list of locations:
- Gaston’s Tavern: Buttercream Frosted Gingerbread Cookie and Eggnog
- Columbia Harbour House: Caramel Pretzel Chocolate Chip Cookie and Hot Chocolate
- Lunching Pad: Buttercream Green Cookies and Apple Cider
- Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café: Buttercream Green Cookies and Hot Chocolate
- Tortuga Tavern: Red Velvet Cake Cookie and Apple Cider

Walt Disney World hasn’t confirmed the free cookie and drink lineup for the 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and probably won’t until the first event is held and the map is released. However, this list is consistent with the below rundown of restaurants that’ll be open (last year, Gaston’s Tavern replaced Pinocchio Village Haus, which seems likely again in 2025).
Assuming this lineup holds true, the best place to go for the free refreshments is Cosmic Ray’s. Not only did they have the best cookies last year, but also the most efficient setups. My hope is that someday Disney will restore a greater variety of offerings–the cookies really peaked in 2018-2019, with the Peppermint Crunch and Ginger Molasses Cookies. I’m guessing that won’t be the case this year, though. Our fear is that Walt Disney World is scaling back the “free” options in order to push people towards the paid ones.
Our strong recommendation is to eat a big meal before 7 pm, ideally prior to even entering the park. Then just stick to the free/included refreshments rather than buying anything extra. You’ve already dropped $170+ for each party ticket alone (perhaps well over $200 if you go in December), why spend even more money and valuable party time on more special food? The time cost of eating a meal during MVMCP is easily $20-$30, and that’s before the monetary cost!

Turning to commentary, I’ll reiterate my several-years-running complaint about the food lineup for the 2025 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party: that most of it is not available all-day at Magic Kingdom.
This approach is baffling. I can understand wanting a few party-exclusive snacks, especially photogenic desserts. Those are always a draw at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and do a little to help with event capacity. But the savory entrees? There’s no way literally anyone has been waiting to buy party tickets until seeing what Pecos Bill and Cosmic Ray’s are serving. Upon arrival, there’s likewise no one whose night will be made by the presence of these entrees.
Unfortunately, of the 9 items on the above list that are offered during regular hours at Magic Kingdom, 0 are savory snacks. The only positive is that this Christmas menu looks like the best we’ve seen at Plaza Restaurant since pre-COVID. Otherwise, it’s a handful of desserts and drinks. Even the hot dogs at Casey’s Corner are paywalled behind the party.

I’ve always felt it’s odd to have so many interesting seasonal entrees at the Halloween or Christmas parties–the average attendee will try maybe one of them, whereas adding these to regular menus gives locals and Annual Passholders an excuse to make repeat visits to Magic Kingdom to try them all.
Maybe I’m just biased as someone who will spend more time in Magic Kingdom eating during regular hours than party hours in November and December 2025. But is there really anyone who is in the opposite position–eating more during the parties than the days? It seems like Walt Disney World has this exactly backwards.
I’ve heard the argument that this is a capacity issue, and Magic Kingdom needs simpler menus during the day in order to churn through guests faster. If this is the case–and I’m skeptical that it is–Walt Disney World could consider reopening one of the multiple shuttered counter service restaurants. Or properly staffing the operational ones. Regardless of the reason, it’s a flimsy excuse–especially given the menus at Disneyland or, for that matter, every other park at Walt Disney World.

My only other complaint is that a lot of the desserts that should feature peppermint ice cream instead have peppermint sauce or toppings. It seems that there’s an aversion to powerful peppermint flavor (“it tastes like toothpaste”) among guests. This is unfortunate, and I’ll continue holding out hope that Plaza Ice Cream Parlor offers an unadvertised Peppermint Brownie Sundae. I bought that multiple times last year–it was amazing! I do like the red velvet cone addition to this year’s; that’s a nice touch.
On a positive note, our List of the Top 10 Counter Service Restaurants at Magic Kingdom has improved over the last ~14 months, so it’s not as if the quick service scene is still awful. Pecos Bill is markedly improved, it’s nice to have waffle sandwiches back at Sleepy Hollow, and Columbia Harbour House is still going strong. Even so, “improvement” is a low bar and Magic Kingdom–the world’s busiest theme park–remains Walt Disney World’s weakest counter service restaurant park.
