October Prime Days are ending tonight, but there’s still time to find a deal on a Bluetooth speaker. There are, in fact, a ton of Bluetooth speakers on sale for different prices on Amazon, but if you want great sound on a budget, I went through all the under-$50 offerings to pull out the best, focusing on trusted names like JBL and Sony.
Anker’s Soundcore Select 4 Go is 37% off
If you need music in the shower or by the pool, the Soundcore Select 4 Go is so waterproof it floats. It plays music for 20 hours on a single charge and supports wireless pairing, so you can hook it up with another compatible speaker for stereo sound. Despite its small size, this speaker delivers strong playback.
Sony’s SRS-XB100 wireless Bluetooth speaker is 34% off
Sony’s SRS-XB100 pushes right against the $50 maximum. It offers Sony’s Sound Diffusion Processor for audio that punches above its weight, and 16 hours of playback per charge. You can take it to the beach too; it’s IP67 rated, so it’s both dustproof and waterproof.
The JBL Go 4 is 30% off
JBL’s ultra-portable Go 4 Bluetooth speaker fits in the palm of your hand, but the company promises strong bass, and that “your friends won’t believe how much great JBL Pro Sound comes out of such a small speaker.” The battery lasts for seven hours; it’s waterproof and dustproof, and it can be paired with other JBL speakers for stereo sound. Plus, it has a built-in strap to make it easy to carry.
RadioShack’s Vintage AM FM radio and Bluetooth player is 54% off
The sound quality you’ll get from this speaker probably doesn’t measure up to brands like JBL and Sony, but their speakers aren’t also AM and FM radios, and they don’t say “RadioShack” on the front, nor do they have a retractable antenna. This retro-styled speaker looks like a 1970s portable radio, but it’s a Bluetooth speaker that can also play audio from USB cards.
The Tribit StormBox Micro 3 is 27% off
Tribit’s StormBox Micro 3 speaker includes both a strap and a magnetic mount, so you can affix it to handlebars, tent poles, or anything else and take your tunes anywhere. The battery is big enough to play for up to 24 hours, the Bluetooth will stay connected up to 45 meters, and the sound quality is surprisingly good for a portable speaker.
This truck-shaped Bluetooth speaker with LED lights is 20% off
This is strictly a novelty, but if you prefer your music coming from a tiny semi truck with rolling wheels and working LED headlights, it’s a novelty that’s worth the $29 price. You can pair the Semi Truck Bluetooth Speaker with another compatible Bluetooth speaker for stereo sound, and there’s even a microphone built in, so you can take calls from your little truck/Bluetooth speaker.
What do you think so far?
Altec Lansing Hydramotion 2.0 is 21% off
Altec Lansing made its name as the gold standard of high-end professional audio equipment in the 1940s, but it’s now known for consumer gear that is everything-proof, including the Hydramotion 2.0, a rugged Bluetooth speaker with a heavy-duty waterproof build and magnetic mounting. It’s the perfect thing for a garage or a golf cart.
